Daniela was born in Belgium in 1976. Trained in drawing and painting at the Fine Arts Academy in Brussels, she has also lived and worked in New Delhi and Buenos Aires.
With a studio at Triveni Kala Sangam from 2006 to 2009, she produced works under the guidance of Indian artist Rameshwar Broota. She also founded and managed, along with Rabani Garg, the “Reading Caterpillar Book Club for children”, in New Delhi.
From 2009 to 2012, she lived and worked in Buenos Aires. There, she participated in several artistic journeys, e.g. workshops on the problematic of the current practice of painting lead by Tulio de Sagistazabal (Centro de Investigaciones Artísticas) and seminars on the different aspects of individual and group creations with Mónica Girón (Arts Department Universidad Torcuato di Tella). She also worked in the serigraphy studio of Mariela Scafati.
During her journey in Libreville (Gabon 2013-2017), Daniela started to experience a new medium, specific to her new home country – stone sculpture – along with local artists. She also participated in several group exhibitions, put up a studio and taught drawing to children. She exhibits regularly and her works can be found in private collections.
